Track Design Decisions

CIC

Safety isn’t something you add to a racetrack after you design it. It has to be part of the architecture from the beginning.

Charlotte International Circuit is being conceived as an elite-grade circuit, which means some of the least glamorous decisions we make may ultimately be among the most important:

  • Runoffs

  • Barrier systems

  • Marshal access

  • Medical facilities

  • Emergency vehicle routes

  • Sightlines

  • Pit and paddock circulation

Even the way different racing disciplines interact with the circuit itself.
